We don't split removal, decontamination, and re-insulation across separate contractors and separate trips whenever we can avoid it. A vacuum truck extracts the old material under negative pressure, the crew decontaminates the space when contamination calls for it, and fresh insulation goes back in — usually the same visit, so your attic isn't left empty and exposed in between.

That coordination matters most on the jobs that involve real contamination. A rodent-driven job needs HEPA vacuuming of framing and decking, enzymatic odor treatment, and antimicrobial fogging before re-insulation makes sense; a mold job needs the moisture source identified and flagged even though we're not the ones fixing the leak. Handling the whole sequence as one coordinated project, rather than a series of separate calls, is what keeps the result actually clean.
